Driver Weights

The stock weight on my Z 585 driver was 8 grams. I bought the 12 gram to increase the club weight so that it would match my newly acquired ZX fairway wood. Unfortunately, even with the new 12g weight, it is still lighter than the stock 3 wood. Is my best hope to upgrade to the ZX7 with 2 slots for weights?
