I played a round yesterday with my ZX5 irons and shot a 77. I was shooting mid to high 80s with my Callaway DCB irons. The ZX5s feel awesome and I'm hitting the ball longer.
I’m really enjoying these irons. Was a Taylormade guy for years. Glad I made the switch. Consistency throughout the set. An iron with with distance, forgiveness, feel and workability!!
Bought ZX5 irons with Nippon Neo shaft. Originally, I wanted Taylormade P790 irons. However, the Srixon irons had the best numbers during my fitting session. On the course, the turf interaction was remarkable. Very consistent spin and distance control. My iron game significantly improved reducing my score. I scored my career low after purchasing these irons. I highly recommend the ZX5 for a player’s distance club. I considered a ZX5 and ZX7 combo set, but wanted a bit more forgiveness during off swing days.
Received my ZX5 irons, 6i thru PW, love the feel, ball trajectory of these clubs, may have even picked up a few yards. Upgraded the shafts to the Project X Rifle 5.5. The head shape looks great at address and promotes a confident swing
The irons look great and feel great. I am very satisfied with them so far. Unfortunately where I live golf courses have been shut down due to COVID-19 concerns and I haven't been able to use them on the course yet but hitting them off of my hitting mat they feel amazing. They make great sound on contact and the look of the irons is beyond impressive. Can't wait to take them to my course and give them a full workout!!!
ZX5 combines pioneering ball speed technology with premium forged feel, and delivers all of it in a forgiving yet workable chassis that’s razor sharp at address. Balanced and thoughtful, these irons are the best of all worlds.
A milled pattern on the backside of each ZX5 Iron face maximizes COR for more ball speed and more distance on every shot.
Grooves in the 8i through PW are sharper, narrower, and deeper for more spin and stopping power on approach shots into the green.
TOUR V.T. SOLE
V-Shaped soles glide smoothly through turf, even if you strike slightly behind the ball. ZX5 Irons also feature the resurgence of our popular sole notches.
Tungsten in the toe of ZX5's long and mid irons (3i-7i) increases MOI for more stability and forgiveness. A forged SUP10 face enhances speed and distance while a forged 1020 Carbon Steel body absorbs vibrations for an extremely soft feel.
